"Okay, she's already to go. Let's get going!"

Cogg is a character appearing in Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. He and his wife, Spring, own the Clock Shop of London. He is usually the one operating the giant clock in the back of the shop. Like Spring and Shipley, he was once employed by the Dove family a few years back. Afterwards he, unknowingly, became an ally to Clive and his master plan.

Puzzles[]

Cogg gives Layton and Luke a puzzle that must be solved in the main story line. The Time Machine won't work unless Layton fixes the Cogs inside of it. This gives them the puzzle "Cogged Down".

Trivia[]

  • His name is derived from the word Cog, something that can usually be found in clocks.
  • He makes a cameo in Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. As the survivors of Puzzle No.002 watch the Crown Petone explode, he and his wife can be seen at a crossing back in London.

Profile[]

US Version
PL3Profile12

The owner of the clock shop, Cogg, used to work for the Dove family. Cogg played his part so well that he developed a genuine love for the art of clock making. All the clocks in the shop except the giant one are his handiwork.

UK Version

Cogg the clock shop owner was once a lackey at the Dove household. Clive's plan led him to develop a genuine passion for clocks, to the extent that all the clocks in the shop are Cogg's handiwork - except the giant one, of course.
