Crouton is a minor character in Professor Layton and the Curious Village. He runs the only restaurant in St Mystere.

Appearance[]
Croutons is of average build, has a large nose and has short brown-black hair and small black eyes. He wears a black top covered by a blue apron, a white hat, red pants, and brown shoes.
Personality[]
Crouton is as a kind-hearted, earnest restaurant owner who takes great pride in his work, as seen in his defensiveness after Luke makes a comment about the lack on customers present while they visit during their stay in St Mystere. He is often forgetful (or at this appears to be the case) as he asks puzzles to be solved related to his missing measuring cups on 3 separate occasions.
Plot[]
Professor Layton and the Curious Village[]
While Layton and Luke searched for Ramon, they visited Crouton's restaurant to inquire, but Crouton hadn't seen Ramon all day. Despite this, he shared a rumour that he'd heard from his customers about a mysterious kidnapper in the village. Professor Layton and Luke pressed for more information, after which Crouton pointed them in the direction of Crumm's café since gossip usually came from the source there.

- Crouton is the name of a piece of cubed fried bread, normally brought to taste with seasoning and herbs, used as garnish in salads.
Profile[]
Crouton is the owner of the town restaurant and is renowned for both his kindness and his heavenly pudding. Stay away from his scones, though. They are like dry sponges. He is also Crumm's brother.
