Frederick Bargland is a character appearing in Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. As stated by Annie Dretche, he is the president of the World Fleet Corporation. He wanted the Eternal Life because he only had six months left to live anyway, and he wanted his business to continue forever.
"I tell you, it's a miracle I stayed awake this long."
He lost Puzzle No. 003, by trying to drop a cage to entrap the wolves instead of himself.

- In the credits gallery, he is seen lying in bed (possibly in hospital), with Annie Dretche giving him some of her books to read.
