— Lady Dahlia to Professor Hershel Layton, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Lady Dahlia Reinhold is a major character in Professor Layton and the Curious Village. She is the widow of the late Baron Augustus Reinhold.

Biography[]

Appearance[]

Lady Dahlia wears a long, short-sleeved form-fitting pink dress with a white shawl fastened around her neck, a red sash, and beige heels. Her jewelry is mostly gold, with a necklace, rings, bracelets, and a set of earrings. She wears her hair in a loose bun.

Personality[]

In contrast to Lady Violet, Lady Dahlia is outwardly bossy and at times self-centered, with her diva-like moments of rage usually being taken out on the butler Matthew. However, despite this, she is very fond of her cat Claudia, who she dresses in a purple bow and treats like a baby (seemingly oblivious to the fact that Claudia isn’t female), and Flora.

She often experiences memories of her erased ‘Violet’ persona in her dreams, the original personality she was programmed to have, but she dismisses them as being nothing more than dreams.

Early Life[]

Professor Layton Curious Village - Flora scared of Robot Dahlia

Flora meeting Lady Dahlia for the first time.

Lady Dahlia was a robot created by Bruno to behave exactly like the Baron's previous wife, Lady Violet. Her original purpose was to be a gift for Flora. The baron, however, was uncomfortable with how identical she was to Violet, so he ordered Bruno to wipe the robot's personality and memory clean and to create a new woman, Lady Dahlia. When Lady Dahlia met Flora for the first time, Flora was terrified by the sudden change of personality. It was also noted in the baron's journal that he felt terrible for forcing the change on Flora.

Lady dahlia's letter

Lady Dahlia's letter.

Lady Dahlia wrote a letter to Layton, asking for his help in solving the riddle of her late husband's will. When she and Layton first met, as they approached to shake hands, a loud booming noise shook the walls of Reinhold Manor and scared away her cat, Claudia. She sent Layton and Luke off to find her.

When the pair arrived back, they were informed of Simon's death, in which Lady Dahlia was determined to prove her innocence in. When Layton was accused of Simon's murder, she witnessed Layton prove that Inspector Chelmey is in fact Don Paolo in disguise.

After the events of the search for the Golden Apple, Flora decided to leave St. Mystere permanently, and Lady Dahlia happily supported her decision to leave.
