Professor Layton Wiki

Mayor Rich Billson is a minor character in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. He is the mayor of Monte d'Or.

Appearance[]

Mayor Billson is a stout, olive-skinned man with grey hair, a prominent chin, and a vacant look on his face. He wears a brown jacket over a pale blue vest, which he wears over a white shirt and a red necktie. He also wears blue pants, white socks with a single red stripe on either of them, and big brown shoes. Curiously, he has a strange tan object (likely a tissue of some sort) sticking out of his nostrils, and often tugs on it.

Plot[]

Professor Layton and the group meet Mayor Billson at the City Hall, and they all introduce themselves. Layton asks for permission to contact the special task force, as he was helping to investigate the case of the Masked Gentleman. Billson tells them they need all the help they can get, as the two inspectors who came from London weren't getting along well with their chief.

Upon leaving the conference, Billson tells Layton he had heard he helped debunk the miracles of the Masked Gentleman, and informed him that due to this, he has re-opened the Montsarton Gallery.

In a special episode, Mayor Billson is seen talking to Michelle about an idea for him to assemble a special task force specially for the Masked Gentleman case. This was so they had headquarters in town and would be on hand if needed, and Michelle thinks this is a great idea.

Profile[]

US Version

The nice, but dim, Mayor Billson is an endearing figure to the people of Monte d'Or. He gestures wildly when excited and can't help prying into other people's affairs. Although he means no harm by it, he still manages to rub a few people the wrong way.

UK Version

The nice but dim Mayor Williams is an endearing figure to the people of Monte d'Or. When excited he gesticulates wildly and can't help prying into other people's affairs to know all the juicy details. Although he means no harm by it, he still manages to rub a few people up the wrong way.
