The Mysterious Girl is a character in Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

Appearance[]

She wears a green dress with orange sleeves, an orange cloth over her hair, red rimmed glasses, white gloves, red patent tights and black Mary Jane shoes.

In Diabolical Box, she is merely wearing a yellow cloth with orange polka dots over the hair and green rimmed sunglasses.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village[]

Chapter 6: The Elusive Tower[]

In the middle of the game, she appears for the first time. While Layton and Luke are examining the walled-off alleyway in front of the tower, she followed them. Layton asked if she could help them with accessing the tower, but before she could respond, she noticed Don Paolo nearby, and took off running. in her haste, she dropped an old ticket for the amusement park.

Chapter 8: The Shadowy Intruder[]

She appears again when Layton and Luke head back to Reinhold Manor. She then warns them to stay away from the tower, then runs off again.

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box[]

Chapter 1: The Legendary Molentary Express[]

The mysterious girl appears again in Diabolical Box. She is firstly seen in the beginning of the game, where she has a new look; she was following Professor Layton and Luke. She gives her ticket to the seller to be punched, then boards the Molentary Express.

Later on in the game, the kidnapping of Babette's little "boy", Tom, happens. However, Babette gets so worried that she doesn't tell them that her boy is in fact a dog, but since Layton and Luke do not know that they try searching the train for details about a small boy (together with Inspector Chelmey and Barton). After finding enough clues, they work out that Tom is a dog, and continue the search with this information in mind.

Eventually, they hear that a strange girl with a dog was rushing in the corridors and went to the back of the train, so Layton and Luke decide to head there to ask her about Tom.
