This tutorial will tell you how to use the Forums.

Basic Reading/Editing Edit

Reading forum topics isn't hard. First go to the forum index (there is a link to it in the navigation bar). From there, choose one of the subforums. In these subforums, you will see a topic list. Click on the topic title to open it up!

Forum pages are the same as any other page, so you can also edit them the same way. Note that forum pages are seen as Talk pages, so don't forget to sign your posts!

Creating topics Edit

1. Go to the sub-forum where you want to make a new topic in.
2. Type the name of your topic in the textbox above the topic list.
3. Click the Add Topic button.
4. Add your text to the page (under the text that is loaded on it by default)
5. Save the page.

Announcements Edit

Announcements are special topics that appear on all subforums. To add a new Announcement, use the create box on the forum index (see steps above).

Old Announcements should be Archived (see section below).

Note: You don't need to add "Announcement:" to the title, the wiki will do this for you.

Stickies Edit

Stickied topics will remain on top of the normal topics in that forum (but under the announcements). To sticky a topic, use one of these methods:

1. Add [[Category:Sticky]] on the bottom of the page.
2. Add |Sticky to the forum header (eg: {{Forumheader|Wiki Discussions|Sticky}})

Archiving Edit

To archive a page, add the category "Archived" to the forum page.

There are 2 ways to do this:

1. Add [[Category:Archived]] on the bottom of the page.
2. Add |Archived to the forum header (eg: {{Forumheader|Wiki Discussions|Archived}})

Moving topics Edit

To move a topic to another subforum, change the forum name in the Forum header on the top of the page.

Locking topics Edit

Wiki Sysops are able to "Lock" a topic by protecting it.
