A Troublesome Tent 2 is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

These friends are off on a camping trip when a powerful wind blows their tent away! They've managed to get all the pieces back, but they need to be stitched together so that the buildings are the same height where the pieces touch, or it will just fall apart again. To make matters worse, they've managed to pick up a piece of canvas that wasn't part of their original tent...

Can you stitch their tent back together and get them back into shelter?

The pattern on this tent is a rather subtle one, which makes spotting how it pieces together rather difficult.

Keep an eye on the top screen as you set about solving this puzzle. It will help you get a better picture of things.

The subtlety of the pattern makes finding the piece that shouldn't be there all the more important.

Start by looking at the edges of each panel and comparing the heights of the buildings. Then count how many times each height is used, and look for heights that appear an odd number of times. The two sections of the unused piece each feature one of these odd heights.

Which pieces of canvas have the tallest buildings on them?

One of these pieces is the piece that doesn't belong.

If you're struggling to work out which piece is the unused one, then struggle no more!

Touch Restart to move all the pieces back to their starting locations, and then look for the one right in the middle of the nine pieces. This is the unused piece.

Now, leave that one right where it is and try to piece the tent back together using the other pieces.
