Bomb Bounce (Bouncing Bombs in the UK version) is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Last Specter.

Puzzle

US Version

You plan is to drop a bomb from the top of a ladder and use some trampolines to bounce it over to your partner.

Arrange your trampolines carefully so that the bomb doesn't hit any walls as it bounces over to your partner. Also, the bomb needs to land right in the center of is glove or won't catch it.

Place trampolines on the grid by drawing lines with your stylus. You have a limited amount of trampoline material available, so keep an eye on how much you use.

UK Version

You want to drop a bomb from the top of a ladder and use some trampolines to bounce it over to your partner.

Place the trampolines carefully so that the bomb doesn't hit any walls as it bounces over to your partner. The bomb needs to land right in the centre of your partner's glove as he won't be able to catch it otherwise.

The bomb will explode if it hits the ground or any walls, so be careful.

Hints

Click a Tab to reveal the Hint.

US Version

The bomb travels faster the farther it falls. If it's moving too fast, your partner won't be able to catch it.

Keep this in mind, and give it another shot! What's the worst the can happen? Well, besides the bomb exploding, or course...

UK Version

The bomb travels faster the further it falls. If it's moving too fast, the chances of your partner catching it are slim.

US Version

Out of the five vertical walls, try bouncing the bomb over the third wall from the right (the one in the middle).

If you can manage that, you should be able to get the bomb to your partner using only two trampolines.

UK Version

Of the five vertical pieces of wall running diagonally, try bouncing the bomb over the one in the middle.

If you do that, you should be able to get it to your partner using just two trampolines.

US Version

Place a trampoline somewhere between the sixth and seventh rungs of the ladder (counting from the bottom), and make it slant down to the right.

Now watch where the bomb lands after the first bounce off this trampoline, and place your second trampoline in that spot. That should do the trick!

UK Version

Count up to between the sixth and seventh rungs of the ladder, and place a trampoline that slants down gently to the right.

Watch where the bomb lands after the first bounce and place your second trampoline there. This should get the bomb to your partner without any mishaps.

US Version

The bomb needs to land right in the middle of your partner's glove in order for him to make the catch.

So the second trampoline needs to be in just the right spot. Start it directly above the L-shaped wall, and make it slant down to the right.

This ought to do it!

UK Version

The bomb needs to land right in your partner's glove. If the trampoline isn't in exactly the right place and at the correct angle, he won't be able to catch it.

Place the second trampoline directly above the L-shaped wall on the right and have it slanted at an angle. That should bounce the bomb to your partner smoothly.
