Mysterious Maze (Murky Maze in the UK version) is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Last Specter.

Puzzle

US Version

This maze is quite mysterious. Only the area directly around the ball is illuminated, and when the ball falls into one of the holes, it will reappear in a reverse version of the maze.

To complete this puzzle, guide the ball to the star that marks the end of the maze.

UK Version

If the darkness is making it difficult to figure out what's going on, try using the Memo function to keep track of where you've been and which holes you've already gone through.

From the starting point, you'll find two holes nearby. Make sure you drop the ball through the top-right one.

After dropping the ball through the fourth hole, you'll find yourself at a crossroads. From here, head left and look for a hole above.

You'll find yourself at an intersection after dropping through your fourth hole. Don't panic, just move left and aim for the hole above. Remember, left and then up.

However, there's another path you can take by going back the way you came...
