The Tower Bridge is a bridge in London located in River Thames. It appears multiple times in the Professor Layton series.

Plot[]

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva[]

It makes a brief appearance at the start of the film when Professor Layton exposes an old lady to be Don Paolo, the one who silenced Big Ben.

Tower Bridge 1

Tower Bridge in London.

When Don Paolo is discovered, he takes off his disguise, grabs his umbrella, which turns out to be a flying contraption and jumps off the bridge. Inspector Chelmey and Barton chase after him in a police car with the rest of the police whilst Layton and Luke chase after him on foot.

After this, it is not seen again in the rest of the film.

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy[]

Raymond flies the Bostonius over the bridge at the start of the game. It cannot be visited.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village[]

In the HD version of the game, a new cutscene is added showing Layton and Luke crossing the Tower Bridge in the Laytonmobile before heading to St. Mystere.

Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney[]

Layton and Luke go to the Tower Bridge in the first part of the game's prologue. Going after a witch that kidnapped Espella, they discover a hidden passage behind a wall in one of tower's tunnels, where Espella was laying inconscious and tied up. After freeing her, they encounter a group of witches and Layton sets up a plan to trick them. He disguises Luke as Espella using her cloak, while the real Espella had fled onto a cargo ship that was passing below the Tower Bridge. Having failed their mission, the witches disappear and leave behind a book. Upon Layton and Luke open it, the book begins emitting a strange light, and both disappear as if by magic. The book is dropped on the floor, open with a page depicting both in a medieval town. After this, the Tower Bridge cannot be visited again.

Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy[]

Katrielle and company go to the Tower Bridge in Case 4. After having heard from Yapper that the cat they mistook for Rex fled there, they find it standing on a wire and soon put it down. Hessie Tate claims the cat is actually hers. Katrielle deduces that Rex isn't actually a cat, but an iguana, and that it was in the cargo ship filled with bananas passing bellow the bridge. She and Sherl jump off and land on the ship, and her deduction was correct as they found Rex there.
